Hello there. I'm a newbie. This is my first post. I hope someone can help with my problem on my router WNR3500L. I bought my router 4 months ago. I have Netgear firmware. I don't have any problems until this week. My connection is very unstable on Xbox Live. I always get 1-2 bars. I updated to latest firmware but it still unstable, same results. i get 1-2 bars, it's laggy. I have open NAT. I even added xbox live port forwarding but still didn't help. Now, I'm thinking of using third party firmware but i don't know what should i use. Can someone please recommend the best 3rd party firmware i can use? Thanks!

Hi rhenzhen. I am using latest Tomato firmware on WNR3500L with Xbox and I don't have any problem. So I recomend Tomato firmware.
Thanks for the reply ONEIL. Whatever version is the latest Tomato firmware right now? If you don't mind to redirect me the link that you're talking about, i would really appreciate it. This is my first time using 3rd party firmware for a router. I'm very cautious coz i don't want to brick my router. hehehe! How hard is it to replace the stock netgear firmware to Tomato? Also, if i decided to switch to different firmware like (DD-WRT), is it the same step installing Tomato firmware? Thanks in advance!
