wnr3500L wireless speed 20Mbit maximum

It appears that no matter what I try, the WNR3500L wireless speed is limited to ~22Mbit.
Even with wireless-N cards, the link speed is ~144Mbit, but the data speed never exceeds
22Mbit, even at 2m distance.

Any ideas?

WMM is enabled, WPA 2 personal and AES encryption as well.Wireless card Intel 6200 agn

My speeds suck as well.

My speeds suck as well. Windows shows the speed as 150Mbit/s (max on my adapters), but actual wifi transfer speeds are ~2.5 MBytes/s, never more. As I understand it, real world N speeds are at least to 4-5 MBytes/s

WMM enabled. WPA2/AES, N only, 40 transmit power, devices close to router. etc.

I am also on channel 11 with channel width of 40Mhz. I'm not sure if that's a problem.

This is one of the best

This is one of the best articles you will ever find online about wireless signaling. It's written for the average newbie and should help out a lot.
