First of all THANK YOU (Tathagata, Kong, Brainslayer, ++ ) for building custom dd-wrt builds for this NETGEAR R6400 and other NETGEAR devices.
The current build is mixing up the MAC "assignment" as similar to this post about the R8000.
For example the device's MAC is AB:CD:EF:12:34:01 (as stated on the sticker), the resulting MAC-Adresses of this build after a reset will be:
- LAN: AB:CD:EF:12:34:03
- WAN: AB:CD:EF:12:34:02
- Wireless: AB:CD:EF:12:34:03 ... but ...
after a reboot and setting up the WLAN including an VAP (virtual Access Point) the Wireless will show up as
- LAN: AB:CD:EF:12:34:03
- WAN: AB:CD:EF:12:34:02
- Wireless: AB:CD:EF:12:34:00
Nevertheless, shouldn't it be the following?
- LAN: AB:CD:EF:12:34:01
- WAN: AB:CD:EF:12:34:02
- Wireless: AB:CD:EF:12:34:03
Regarding the dd-wrt forum, Kong was able to handle this issue somehow.
Bugmenot interesting question as i have the same question about My R6400 and My R7000 on KongAC 24865M does the same thing with the mac's .
Also i might have a bad cfe.bin file for My R6400 since i bought mine 2nd hand and it wasn't booting. I have it booting now but it has issues. If You know where i can get a CFE copy or You don't mind sharing Yours i would GREATLY appreciate it!
