While configuring my R6300V2, I encountered a situation where the IP address of the router is "missing". A scan of 192.168.0.xxx and 192.168.1.xxx does not yield anything. I did change the static LAN IP from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.8, and successfully rebooted after that. But a couple of reboots neither shows up on a scan.
Any ideas? Does a hard reset affect the IP? Is it possible to get in through the radios?
Thanks.
So I was able to get the router back with a 10 second reset. But I don't know why it is locking up when I change some parameters.
Any general guidance would be appreciated. I have used this router model for 7 years without problems like this, so I am somewhat at a loss.
I have seen this sort of issue when the power supply is starting to go bad.
If you have another you can test with you might try that.
Interesting. I have many power supplies, I will try another tonight. Thanks.
Cool,
Let us know how it works out.
