I replaced the Netgear firmware in my R6400 v1 because I wanted to use Nord VPN. Could not get the VPN service to work properly so I canceled it. The DD-WRT (build 36527) does not support the USB functionality on the R6400 so I want to replace it. I have not been able to replace the DD-WRT firmware with Netgear, which would be my preference. Is there firmware I can flash that will allow me, as an interium step, to get to get back to Netgear or at least will support the USB functionality?

Try using the Initial .chk firmware file from the Netgear support site.
i tried to flash my r6400 v1 but failed, disconnected from the net half way thru. is there anything I can do to at least set it back to factory firmware or should i just toss it. if anybody can help me with this i'll thank you ahead of time.
