Netgear R700 wont flash

No matter what file i attempt tomato or dd-wrt i get the error message -1 this firmware is not compatible with your router. I have tried flashing with the orignal file 

R7000-V1.0.3.56_1.1.25.chk i get the same error message. 

 

Followed the instructions revert to factory default. Cleared my cache nothing works. 

 

Any help much appreciated

you need router cfe

you need router cfe reinstalled look for this file R7000-cfe-1.0.21-NorthAmerican

I am having this same problem

I am having this same problem trying to install Shibby Tomato and DD-WRT on a brand new Netgear R7000, does anyone have a solution? I also noticed you can't upload old version of the netgear firmware onto it either. Perhaps Netgear is blocking folks from uploading older firmware?

Fresh tomato has new init

Fresh tomato has new init files that should correct this problem. You should be able to flash ddwrt or shibby tomato after flashing the init.
