Can anyone please tell me how to build my serial cable from a cell phone cable or any other cheap way of making a cable (without soldering) and not having to pay $20!.
Use com-port(cheaper) or usb to rs232(in mobile phone cables you can find this) and downgrade levels from 12 to 3.3v

i have a pl2303(usb2rsr232)(from siemens data cable) and i want to try this
I think to downgrade levels you need zener diode and resistance
