iperf to check SLA?

Hi,

does anyone know if iperf can be used to check SLA compliance according to RFC2554? If so, has anyone tried to implement iperf direct on the WNDR3800 router or other open source device?

I'm wondering if anyone's ever considered getting any of the perfSonar tools hooked into any of the firmwares available for these router units.
