Voxel's firmware is known for adding features and functionality (such as OpenVPN) as well as improving the power of the CPU on these devices.

Recently, Voxel put out an update for the R9000 (1.0.2.46) that contains several updates and changes. Head to the download to get the full list of what's new and to try it out.

Community developer Voxel has released new versions of custom firmware for both the NETGEAR R9000 and NETGEAR R7800. Voxel's firmware is known for adding features and functionality (such as OpenVPN) as well as improving the power of the CPU on these devices.

Community developer Voxel has updated builds for everyone to enjoy. The R7800 build has been updated to 1.02.36.SF, and the R9000 build to 1.02.43.HF-HW.

Community developer Voxel has released another update to the custom firmware for NETGEAR's X10 Nighthawk R9000, adding hardware OpenSSL acceleration. Grab it from the downloads area!

In case you didn't know, and happen to be an owner of a finely crafted NETGEAR R9000, Kong's got a dynamite DD-WRT build available. This was just updated and is the latest release since 2017-June.
