I've been monitoring this site as well as dd-wrt forum and it seems like full support for dd-wrt is at stand still, full support meaning the router is functionally working including the LED lights. No updates on any progress from the dd-wrt forum, http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=27947&postdays=0&postorder=... The last entry was Sept. 4, 2008.

Except the light I don't see an issue with the current dd-wrt release. It simply works. We currently have 3 WGR614L running. The only issue I have is that they don't have an antenna connector. But for our purposes it is not a big issue.
My issue is that only the mini dd-wrt works but the standard dd-wrt fails to boot after installing it. I'm waiting for a stable release of a fixed firmware for my WGR614L 100EUS.
ddwrt-wgr614v8-08192008.zip extracts to ddwrt-wgr614v8.chk that is DD-WRT v24-sp1 (08/08/08) mini (SVN revision 10152). This one works but lacks some features like chillispot.
dd-wrt.v24_std-wgr614v8_07271643.chk fails.
Yes, you are right. We will look into this issue. Currently the team is busy with OpenWRT. Once this firmware is released we will work on dd-wrt standard and chillispot release.
Well apart from the LED's which I don't really care about, there's more that's not really how it should be: the init script ends with: there's a missing "]", the /jffs partition is write-only, and to install some stuff like openvpn it need to be R/W.
Well, most problems are resolved, try dd-wrt build 10488, see http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=39124
The SVN 10488 build works great on my WGR614L US model, though I have not enabled JFFS . All the LEDs now indicate correctly. My only compaint is the lack of IPv6 support, but it sounds like crushedhat is working on it, so hopefully his work will make its way into a build soon.
