I recently bought and proceded to flash a Netgear WGR641 v8 (the one advertised as being compatible ) with DD-WRT. I used IE 7 on the Windows side, after hearing that Firefox had some issues when flashing. I logged into the router with the default ip 192.168.1.1, and used the firmware upgrade util. I made absolutely sure that I had the correct build for the router and began the flash. I can't remember now, but it was probably more or less a 5 minute long process. The progress meter filled up, and it soon reached the top. After that i waited about 5 more minutes, but it never did give any kind of indication that it had finished, thus i assumed it was done, and as per the tutorial I was using, did a factory reset by holding the reset button for several seconds. When the router turned back on, the power light was green and flashing, and the checkmark light next to it was and still is solid orange. I tried pinging it and logging into it again by using my web browser, but to no avail. Now I'm not sure If I have permanantly bricked my router, if it is possible to fix it. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Could u plz tell which version (NA or WW) of WGR614L u r using and which built did u use to flash it ...
Also how did u make sure that flashing wz complete ... If u interrupt the flashing process in intermediate stage it can cause flash corruption which in turn may lead to a lot of crazy things ...
I believe this is the build I used:

As for the version, It's a WGR614 v8, and I'm not sure what you mean by NA and WW. If NA means north america, thats where i got it so.
Like I said, the progress meter filled up, and it didn't give any indication that it was done so I assumed it was (probably not the best idea).
yep NA means north america .... I thinkk u have corrupted the flash and in that case u need to have a serial cablr to see what z hpng inside the box....
Shoot, I was hoping that wouldn't be the case. Thank you for your help achilles. I'm gonna leave the thread to se if anyone else has any comments.
