Bridge + Ethernet

Hi,

I need to setup a tiny network, and I want to know if the Netgear WGR614L will fit my needs.

I have a few computers that dont have any wifi support (only ethernet). I want them to go on the internet, but my internet is only available thru wifi.

I've seen that WGR614L handles 4 ethernet port, and also that it can act as a client bridge or repeater.

My idea is to setup the WGR614L as a wifi client bridge, and then connect the ethernet computer on it to allow them to go on the internet.

Do you think this solution is possible? Will it be easy to setup ?

Thanks for your answers

Yes ... it is possible ...  You can set up your WGR614L as a client bridge (I m not saying repeater bridge bcoz u dnt have Wi-Fi supprt in your PC) ....... and connect the internet cable to WAN port of your primary router ....

This will enable you accees net thru all computers that are bridged to your primary router thru WGR614L ....

Let us know if u face any prblms ....

Sorry,

Sorry,

i think i wasnt very clear when i explained what i wanted to do.

I want to know if my ethernet computer will be able to go on internet, if they are plugged into the 4 LANs ports provided by WGR614L, when having WGR614L setup as a "wifi bridge" on some external wifi network (eg, my company)

I dont want to use the WAN ports, either DSL or things like that...

I meant exactly the same

I meant exactly the same thing .... You can access the net through the computers connected to LAN ports of WGR614L .... provided the Wi-Fi network to which you are bridged thru WGR614L is able to access the network ....
By primary router in my last post I meant the same Wi-Fi network that u r referring to ....
Do let me know if u still have any doubts ....
