no wan address

I just installed tomato v1.25.0000 and everything seems to work fine except my router (wgr614v8) doesn't pick up a wan ip address. I tried various combinations for reseting modem and router, etc. and no luck. Then I though to plug it in directly into my existing (and working) network to see if it would pick up an ip address from the dhcp server and it still doesn't.

Under Basic - Network - WAN/Internet it's set to the default settings: DHCP and MTU: default.

My working dhcp server has ip address 192.168.0.254 and gives out ip addresses in same subnet, the netgear router with tomato has static ip address of 192.168.1.1 and gives out ip addresses in that subnet.

I've also tried changing the mac address to random, default and clone and I get the same result.

Any ideas? I tried ssh'ing into the router but didn't know which network device to try to manually start up.

This seems to be a common

This seems to be a common problem. I had the same issue, as did others after installing 1.25. If you do a full NVRam reset, it seems like it might work, but then the wireless parts start to fail.

I would really like to know the proceedures used by those who have made it work. What's the hardware version they have, and what firmware is in the unit before they flash? How do they clear the nvram (factory resets or full clear?)

i want to see if i can manually bring it up. only br0 has an ip address of 192.168.1.1. if you have same device, can you post output of `ifconfig -a` please.

I had to roll back to netgear

I had to roll back to netgear's default firmware and put my router into production, so I can't give you that config report, sorry... Hopefully someone else can.
