WNR3500L My printer is not recognized

I've installed dd-wrt, downloaded from this site.

Trying to install a printer.

Following Wiki http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Printer_Sharing and more support in http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=63095&highlight= I got everything (?) working except that router don't recognize/mounts USB-printer.

With command "dmesg | grep usb" I get result:

root@PS:~# dmesg | grep usb
usbcore: registered new interface driver usbfs
usbcore: registered new interface driver hub
usbcore: registered new device driver usb
usb usb1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
usb usb2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
usbcore: registered new interface driver usblp
usb 1-1: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 2
usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -62
usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -62
usb 1-1: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 3
usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -62
usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -62
usb 1-1: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 4
usb 1-1: device not accepting address 4, error -62
usb 1-1: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 5
usb 1-1: device not accepting address 5, error -62

p9100d Service is running, lp0 node exist and listening to port 9100.
PC don't report any error. Send print OK.
But nothing on printer.

Printer is a HP OfficeJet with a parallel cable converter. ( it all worked with a wl-500gP and Oleg's fw incl. recognize printermodel, also running p910nd).

Firmware now on my WNR3500L is dd-wrt.v24-13401_NEWD-2_K2.6_std_usb_ftp.bin.zip

Here is result from checking of services:

root@PS:~# mount | grep -i jffs
/dev/mtdblock/4 on /jffs type jffs2 (rw)

root@PS:~# ls -l /jffs/usr/sbin/
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 8563 Mar 26 2006 p910nd

root@PS:~# ls -l /dev/usb
crw-rw---- 1 root root 180, 0 Jan 1 1970 lp0

root@PS:~# ps | grep p91
956 root 640 S p9100d -b -f /dev/usb/lp0 0

root@PS:~# netstat -an | grep 910
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:9100 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN

Searching on google no errorcode 62 is found, but with similar type of error a lot of people say it's a kernel problem.

Solution ?

I have all but Storage

I have all but Storage support.

But I tested more.

If I reboot without printer connected and later connect printer cable it now works. Printing OK.
USB needs to be delayed or something in startup ?
How ?

Tested more.

Tested more.
Reboot again, but now with cable connected.

And now it works directly.
Printer recognized.
All it needed after new fw was apperently a kind of removing some values.

Now it says:
root@PS:~# dmesg | grep usb
usbcore: registered new interface driver usbfs
usbcore: registered new interface driver hub
usbcore: registered new device driver usb
usb usb1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
usb usb2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
usbcore: registered new interface driver usblp
usb 1-1: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 2
usb 1-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
usblp0: USB Bidirectional printer dev 2 if 0 alt 1 proto 2 vid 0x067B pid 0x2305

Thank you for the tip.

To solve this issue, I will

To solve this issue, I will suggest you to restart the printer.Second step is to check the connection issue. If the printer connected via USB cable, make sure it is not damaged. If it is then replace with a new one.Now check the network connection. That's how i solved the same issue.Since you are using printer i would like to provide you and added information you might face an error code 0x97 problem which is very common in general,it will occur all of a sudden with no early sign.No need to worry just read a blog epson error code 0x97 and follow the steps accordingly. The problem will get solved.
