!Updated my mod of dd-wrt with included Samba3!

I have just uploaded a new version of my dd-wrt mod:

Download

Changes:

-Samba is now restarted if you change its configuration via webinterface

-XFS filesystem support removed. Is anyone using it? It needs lots of flash space and I doubt people need this

-fuse + NTFS-3G added, it does not yet automount your external drives with ntfs filesystem, for now this can be done either by using dd-wrt command section in webui or via commandline, just insmod /lib/modules/2.6.24.111/kernel/fs/fuse/fuse.ko and then mount using ntfs-3g /dev/discs/disc0/part1 /jffs (mounts 1st partition)

-inotify support added, needed for minidlna(not yet included)

-compiled with optimization, increases read/writes speeds by about 10%

@Peter, can you update the link in the download section?

If it is not available, then

If it is not available, then either nvram is corrupted or the flash process went wrong. Do a 30/30/30 reset and check again.

30/30/30Reset is done this way:

the device is powered on, you press the reset button 30s, while pressing the button, power off for 30s, still pressing, power on and hold another 30s.

Now nvram gets cleared and all default values will be set.

Since you said: Tried various divises with no result.

I guess by trying so many different firmwares the nvram got filled up with values that were never cleared again.

I don't no what's going wrong but the hdd goes sleeps after plugin it in.
First the hdd has a short boot-up and then it sleeps.
When i plug it in and out for a seccond time nothing happens.
I have the same reslut whit a usb memory stick.
It look like there is a power problem on the usb port.

I found the solution for this

I found the solution for this problem on an other discussion on this forum.
The 30/30/30 reset is not enough. But using the power button solves it al.
I just powered it of with the power button. waited for 10 sec. powered it on again and the usb works again.
