PS3 vs. Netgear WNR3500L with Tomato USB

Hi there

I just bought a new Router (WNR3500L). I flashed on the Tomato USB Firmeware.

Everthing works pretty good except my PS3.

Evertime i want to Connect my PS3 with my Wireless Network it fails by gettin the IP Address. Even if i disable the authification on the Wirelesss.

Sometimes my router actually crash while i'm trying to connect my PS3.

But my Smartphone and also my Mac Book Pro doesn't have any Problems.

Is there something i forgot by configure my Router?

Thanks ahead.

Did you turn on UPnP on the router and enable it on PS3?

Make sure you have all the wireless settings on the PS3 correctly too, especially DNS at Auto.

For me, it usually takes 1-2 speed tests on the PS3 to get all the ports to open up and then it works fine.

Thank you teakwon3dan.

Thank you teakwon3dan.

I turned on the UPnP on the Router and enabled it on m PS3. I checked the configuration on the PS3.

But still, when i'm trying to get an IP, i get a Timeout Error.

While trying to get an IP for my PS3 it appears on the Devices List in the Tomato Firmware (without an IP).

Ok. Try resetting the

Ok. Try resetting the internet connection on the PS3 (manually). What is your configuration setting on the PS3? It asks a series of questions like SSID, encryption (I use WPA2-PSK), password, MTU (I set it Auto), DNS - Auto, IP - Auto, UPnP - On, Proxy - disabled, etc.

Maybe you can also try to set a static IP on the router for the PS3.

It should work. We have the same router and the same PS3. I have tested it with the latest Tomato USB and the PS3 works just fine.

Maybe you have very weak signal??

No problem here. PS3, Tomato

No problem here. PS3, Tomato build 52, WPA2/TKIP encryption, G mode only (have no N hardware), and basic configuration as above on PS3.

It was the rang of the wireless connection. I moved my ps3 about 1meter closer to the Router.
