Hi all,
I am new to the tomato-USB opensource firmware and want to compile Tomato for atheros chipset. However I cannot get any option to do that in source code (make menuconfig). I am wondering if tomato-USB supports atheros or not.
Is there any one to guide me?
Thanks in advance.

Tomato is a small, lean and simple replacement firmware for Linksys' WRT54G/GL/GS, Buffalo WHR-G54S/WHR-HP-G54 and other Broadcom-based routers.
So Broadcom only.
DD-WRT seems better for atheros AFAIK.
Thanks for those replies. It would be very helpful if Tomato supports Atheros in future.
Is there any work going on in Tomato to support Atheros?
Thanks in advance.
You should perhaps ask it to Tomato developers, for example here:

Thanks for the information.
As I come to know that Tomato does not support Atheros and DD-WRT would be the best option for Atheros so I want to use DD-WRT.
I dont have a huge memory space in my PC to download the whole source code. So, I want to download the source code of v24 SP1 (Build 10020) for Atheros only. Can any one please guide me how to do it?
thanks in advance.
I thnk you should download all the sources and compile with options to use only Atheros driver.
See here :http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Development
Or ask Kong here if he can help you.
Are you sure there isn't already a build for your router ? You'd better ask in dd-wrt forum then.
Thanks for the information. Actually I want to port some applications and customize the kernel for WNDR3700. Therefore I need to compile the source code.
I have already downloaded the code(pb42) for atheros chipset from DD-WRT's SVN.
DD-WRT provides some documentation about how to compile DD-WRT source code for broadcom platforms. Please let me know how to compile this source code for Atheros platforms.
Thanks in advance.
