USB drive not detected

Hi everybody,

I just installed Toastman's Tomato firmware on my WNR-3500L and everything went smoothly. However, none of my flash drives/external hard drive is seen by the router, no matter what. The LEDs on the flash drives don't even light up.

Can anyone give some pointers?

Thanks

There is nothing on the page

There is nothing on the page that tells me it's trying to mount the drive at all
It was working with the stock firmware
Not even the logs give a clue

Oh, and the firmware is the latest version, Toastman's mod with USB, see below.
I wanted a bit of NAS, that's why I chose this...
Toastman's Tomato Firmware for WNR3500L w/ USB (Ext) 1.28.7476 K26

Hi and thanks for your answer

Hi and thanks for your answer...
Well, I was thinking of having an USB hdd connected to the router
I have two other network-based NASs, but wanted to take advantage of the media player function in this one...
Basically I flashed the Tomato firmware to get rid of the connection dropped issues I was experiencing with the stock firmware
The 4shared directory structure is misleading...
Do I go to RT (MIPSR2 - newer routers like RT-N16, E3000 etc) ? I think so, right, 'cause the other branch is for dual band routers...
I'll try it and see if it works.
Thanks again
