Your question does not make much sense. Linux is always being updated, so today's latest version is no longer latest tomorrow. Besides, Linux has many distributions, each one with its updates and forks. DD-WRT devs try to get kernel 3.9 working with Broadcom SoCs, if that is what you asked.
