DD-WRT Kong build 22000

Can anyone confirm multiple Vlan is working on DD-WRT Kong build 22000 ASUS RT-N16,

Every time I start configuring it and reboot the router I can’t access the router.

Configuration as follows “GUI” computer plugged into port 1

  1. 30/30/30 reset
  2. Change password
  3. Disable firewall
  4. Change port 4 onto Vlan 3
  5. Reboot
  6. Cant access router(192.168.1.1)
  7. Power off router and power it on
  8. Cant access router(192.168.1.1)
  9. 30/30/30 reset

I tried this on Vlan 4,5,6,7,8,9, also port 2,3 as well

Can anyone post the command method  or assist

I read somewhere that on the

I read somewhere that on the n66u this problem was caused by an outdated CFE file in the router. I dont know if this applies to your n16 also.

Did you try to acess the

Did you try to acess the router from different ports, can you acess it via wireless?

On some models the labeling is reversed, thus if you add port 4 to another vlan it might actually be port one that is assigned. Now if you are connected to port 1 you correctly fully setup the vlan, including bridges etc.

I will try it again this weekend, switch the ports and through wireless. I am now going to retry nocat splash with dual wlans, i have had no luck with this in the past, i have built my splash page inserted in the router but the browser just keeps going to my normal home page.

My end goal is to have 2 wlans 1 for me 1 to distribute my company information through wireless using a Linksys wrt54g v8 as a repeater. I am also using QOS to limit the second wlan speeds. I have purchased 3 TPlink TL-WA5210G outdoor CPE’s, I have rigged them onto my roof with a 30 foot pole (yes I have grounded it) so they connect to the Linksys connect to the ASUS RT-N16 which handles all my services (nocatsplash, QOS, second Wlan, etc.)

  1. Dual Wlan on ASUS RT-N16                        complete
  2. Wireless repeater                                           complete (but need to get a longer power  strip to connect CPS’s upstairs
  3. QOS on ASUS RT-N16                                  complete
  4. Outdoor wireless CPS  installation                complete
  5. Nocatsplash                                         -          Work in progress

It’s been a really fun project so far
