Hi all.
I got a R7000 and i've installed DD-WRT without any problem.
I wanted to try Tomato and I did the following steps:
Downloaded Tomato firmware (K26, arm)
Changed file extension from .TRX to .BIN
Uploaded file from web interface
Waited for router reboot
Now WiFi doesn't work. I can not access The router from the web interface nor SSH or Telnet.
I need your help :(
Thank you
Did you 30/30/30?
Same her :((((
Please help us
i did 30/30/30 still not work wifi :((im on macbook air ....so no ethernet interface : / damn
Try this:
Press and hold for about 30 second the WiFi switch. This is the way to open an emergency session in telnet. If you try to connect you'll notice that you are already connected with a temporary user.
Using telnet send these commands:
nvram get http_password
nvram get http_username
This is the link to the blog post i've made about this. It's in italian language.
Still nothing :(( im so pi s.d off :/
I see the wifi but can connect , the wifi password its wrong
WTF
My ThinkPad X1 Carbon came with a dongle I would assume your Air would too. If not, get a USB to Ethernet dongle and try it. A Macbook Air is about the last laptop I would be using for configuring an interface like this, you should be using hardwired for flashing/configuring.
So...stilll nothing ...i had do'it with a Ethernet to USB and i can't get work....
Damn shiet Tomato firmware ....
NO!
I'm very happy with Tomato!
previous i hat DDWRT from Kong and I had many problems with it.
with a guide from this forum, how to flash from ddwrt to tomato, i have no more problems.
You should flash first from ddwrt to original netgear firmware than to tomato initial fw. than to tomato final.
between these steps 30 sek reset or 30-30-30 reset.
now with Tomato i'm happier than ever bevore. :p
(R7000 Netgear Router)
I've had the same experience with a brand new R7000. I do have wired ethernet, but I cannot connect to the device after the "initial" upload. I was running the Netgear firmware previously to attempting Tomato.
The device turns on and the power light goes white. The Reset button has no apparent effect; holding it for a long time causes no apparent changes.
There's no response at all from 192.168.1.1.
There is no "WiFi switch" on a Netgear R7000, is there? If so, where is it?
On my bricked R7000, holding the *reset* switch for a long time does nothing at all.
im not able to connect to wifi.....
what its the standard password for Tomato firmware ??
on the right side you can see 2 white LED Buttons, so i mean the WPS is the Wifi button.
I hope you used the Tomato intial firmware and not the regular build. Need to install the intial firmware to prepare R7000 for Tomato.

Yes. I followed the instructions in the video.
I have the same problem, have you guys been able to find a solution?
I managed to get in by connecting with the ethernet cable and setting the ip manually to 192.168.1.10 and the default gateway to 192.168.1.1 in the windows settings. Looks like DHCP was disabled.
