Hi,
I'm a little bit confused about how to install the DD-WRT firmware on my R7000 device. The links to the flashinstruction / readme that I've found are down.
Currently Im running the latest official firmware.
Can I install this custom firmware http://www.myopenrouter.com/download/52625/DD-WRT-K3-for-NETGEAR-R7000-N... without any "initial flashing" and so on? Or do I have to performe some extra steps before?
Thanks!
Monchi
Kong renamed the directory structure. Go here to get firmware and notes. First post gives directions to the firmware. Yes there is an intial build to be installed first.

Hey Bill,
thanks for the reply.
I'm a little bit concerned to brick my new 200$ device. So here are the steps I'm going to perform:
1) Install http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt-ren/K3-AC-Arm/Initial/dd-wrt.K3_R7000.chk
2) Install http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt-ren/K3-AC-Arm/24200M/dd-wrt.v24-K3_AC_ARM_ST...
Is this right?
Problem solved. Router is running with DD-WRT now!
Just an FYI there are about 4 months of newer builds than the one you installed. I'm not saying for sure they are more stable but you may want to try a newer one. 25090M runs fine for me.
thanks for the hint i'll give it a try
