R7000 QoS Not classifying Traffic on Tomato

Setup: R7000 Nighthawk, Firmware: Tomato by Shibby v1.18, Connection: Wired

I installed tomato in hopes of being able to implement better QoS on my R7000, but the 40 or so default rules, plus the few additional ones I added are not classifying any traffic. The only thing that does seem to work is the "default class" classification, which is set to low priority. The info under the "Graphs" tab and the "Details" tab for QoS shows all traffic either set to this default class or set to unclassified (and this is mostly lan traffic). QoS flat out doesn't seem to be working. I've tested changing the default class to a higher priority and that seems to work, but other than that I have no QoS functionality. Aside from that, I have been able to get Bandwith Limiter to work which accomplishes some of what I need in terms of controlling internet traffic, but is not the best solution. Any advise, suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

this is where the devs hang out and lots of folks provide help. Great doc on setting up QOS there done by Toastman.
