Can't reset my wnr3500lv2

I've flashed my wnr3500lv2 with tomato to be able to do vlan settings. Every time I tried to save my settings the router froze and the power light stayed amber. I had to do reset it, try again, but same result every time. I tried both shibby and toastman. This is a bit frustrating, BUT, now to the current problem:

Now I can't reset it. At all. I can't access the interface and I can't reset the device. The light shines happily green and wlan and connected lan lights are blue. I've tried 30- and I've tried 30/30/30-reset. Are there more ways to reset? Does anyone has any clue what's wrong and how I can access it?

Any help would be much appreciated.

The router is probably trying

The router is probably trying to download a kernel from the network and is stuck in that phase -  i had that happen to me with tomato on the 3500L. Connect a TTL level rs323 converter to the router so you can see what it is actually trying to do. You can also try to start it blindly without any ethernet cable plugged in.

Once you get it up and running you can then disable the netboot feature in the web gui, but i cannot remember where you do that, havent got the router in operation at the moment.

Hi!

Hi!

Thank you for your response!

Starting blindly doesn't work. I tried that several times beore posting here. Now I've got my hands on one of those converters, but how do I connect it? I've opened the router and it has 6 pins. The converter has 4. The ones on the converter is color coded and I can read and figure out which one is which but on the router they are unmarked... Just 6 pins in a row.

I've searched around for guides or others with the same problem but haven't found anything helpful...
