On my Netgear R6300 V2 I installed firmware DD-WRT v24-sp2 (10/18/12) mega a long time ago. Couldn't use my router anymore. It didn't work at all. And I was unable to reinstall the original firmware. Resetting the Factory Defaults didn't work either. I am also unable to change the settings of this DD-WRT firmware. So I got my old router. A Netgear WNDR3700. This works fine, but I was used to the awesome speed of the R6300.
Now, after 2 years I hoped there woud be a solution for my problem, because in 2013 nobody could help me. I downloaded the most recent DD-WRT firmware and tried to install it. At first I tried an Factory Default and then flashed the new firmware. Bu after 9 minutes I get the message that the upgrade didn't succed. And still it is entirely impossible to change the setting of the firmware.
What should I do to remove the existing firmware in my R6300 and replace it with one that works?
Finally succeeded flashing the firmware. It only works when I don't do a factory reset.
