I updated and although things

I updated and although things seemed fine it seems I lost all my open ports etc etc. Seems the change to the port forwarding requires re-entry. After re-entry of my open ports (which were all singletons) things work again as I intend.

Switched from a long line of

Switched from a long line of Asus routers to the R7000 just a week back.

Used to run Merlin on Asus so was spoiled with that really nice GUI.

Upgraded to this version of the Netgear firmware and remain surprised at the crap GUI, both the browser interface and Genie looks awful, has weird logic and are very slow to work with.

Also, retrieving my shared USB drives from KODI using SMB took a bit of guesswork but randomly just started working and has been working flawlessly ever since.
(I suspect it took renaming the share for it to hook up with the network.) Couldn't find any good info googling about it so hopefully this KODI SMB SAMBA R7000 NIGHTHAWK could help somebody out there. Just keep trying, the shares ARE SMB.

All in all - the R7000  has great range and speed, just as expected from reading comparison charts on Smallnetbuilder, performing really well.

This firmware contains anything needed from my pow, just looks and feels like crap. Huge mismatch for a router that is so more esthetically pleasing than anything Asus ever produced. Baha.

I would like to monitor data

I would like to monitor data usage by IP src/dest. I see old posts about of adding an ntop module to the router. Is this or something similar still available?
