Hey guys I'm totally new to this up until 15 mins ago I didn't even know I could download a better firmware. Obviously mine is stock and I'm wanting to know if by changing it does it make a notiable difference? Everything I do is threw streaming. I have a nvidia shield that I stream movies from Kodi. And also should I set up a VPN? Any help is welcomed and thanks in advance

I definately notice differences........once setup the router just runs....no outages for me...love DDWRT and very much appreciate the hard work Kong and Brainslayer put in to this project. Lots of features there if you choose to use them...
