I upgraded the firmware on my R7000 using the dd-wrt.K3_R7000_20171101.zip build. After upgrading, some wireless devices work, some don't. My laptop connects fine, but my phone (Samsung S7) and thermostat (carrier wireless) failed to connect. When I downgraded to dd-wrt.K3_R7000_7.zip, everything connected again.
Did a configuration item change or is this possibly a problem in the build?
Thanks!
I have exactly the same problem! Chromecast Audio is gone and canno't connect...
@rmcd1024 Yes I am having a similar problem. After upgrading none of my WPA2-Enterprise clients can authenticate to the built-in RADIUS server. They were working fine pre-upgrade. I'll try downgrading and see if it fixes it. Would like to not be vulnerable to KRACK though....
It appears that DD-WRT v3.0-r33655M kongac (11/03/17) ( http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt/K3-AC-Arm/TEST/dd-wrt.K3_R7000.chk ) fixes the problem. Thanks!
Be aware that this is a test build.
The problem occurred again about 24 hours after I installed 33655 --- several devices could no longer connect. It's possible this occurred when leases were renewed. I'm now testing 33675 and will post if I have are updates,
I concur.. I auto-received the 11/3/17 version and all seemed well. then failed again.. I have a few newer Samsung Wifi DVD players that are not getting an IP.. as well as a Honeywell Thermostat that has been working fine.. both can see the network.. give it the network key.. and sits and fails.. there is nothing in the syslog that even shows the devices chatting, unlike the other 30 or so devices on my network.. have rebooted router.. rebooted other devices.. and no go.. not sure what else to try at this point
Having the same problem as above. WiFi devices unable to find network. Reverting back to v7 fixes the problem.
I have the same problem with build 33615M (10/31/17). Some devices connect to the wifi but don't get an IP address it seems.
I am now using DD-WRT v3.0-r33675M kongac (11/03/17)
On the previous version (1st november 2017) my MacBookPro with 10.13.1 could connect to internet etc. I could also connect to my Synology DS116 with Disc Manager DSM 6.2-22259.
But I could not get full privileges when connecting through smb. I could read the files but not move or delete etc. any file. My backuo with TimeMachine would also not recognise the TimeMachine disc on my Synology.
However the version of dd-wrt that I am using now ( DD-WRT v3.0-r33675M kongac (11/03/17)) allows those connections and apps are working well . But then I updated not even 24 hours ago. So we will see if everything keeps working this way.
After 40 hours 3.0-r33675M kongac (11/03/17) is still working for cell phone and thermostat. Fingers crossed!
I applied the 33675M version..thermostat can connect now.. i see a few other devices connecting.. but still cannot get a Samsung Blu Ray player and a few other gizmos on wifi.. but.. slowly getting there.. : DD-WRT v3.0-r33675M
33675M did the trick for me. Everything working as normal now.
After using DD-WRT v3.0-r33675M kongac (11/03/17) for a while now, I still have some glitches. I can connect to my Synology NAS but on both WiFi as cabled connections, I can't use my piviliges on the NAS to manipulate of move the files.
I can only read them.
Only whne I create a webdav connection with the webdav server on the NAS I can use it as before the updates of november 1 and November 3. It seems that some signals that normally are transported over my smb connections, are filtered out. This could be the result of preventing the CRACK vulnarability. But I am not sure.
I had the same problem. Very weird. I even had devices that were connected, but coudn't be reached from within the network (they didn't even answer on ping command). But nevertheless those devices had internet connection and could be reached from outside the router (port forwarding). Very very strange....
I went back to the stable r32170M version from 06/11/17. Waiting for a working update now...
Same problem here and had to roll back to r32170M as well. My main issue was attempting to connect IoT devices. iPhones, iPads, Macs, Amazon Alexa, August Connect, Logitech Harmony Hub all worked fine but WeMo, Awair, LiFx absolutely refused to join. Just planning to wait to see what the consensus is here soon as it was two days of testing and one day to rebuild the network since I have one router and two APs that had to be rebuilt from the ground up.
I had forgotten to mention that I also attempted the 2017-11-04 R7000 .chk from dd-wrt.com's site and had the same experience of not being able to connect my devices on the 2.4 wireless network as well.
I have the same issues of wifi cameras not connecting after update. Flashed dd-wrt.K3_R6700.chk by mistaje and everything is connected.
I made no chnages until now.
