Randomly my Xbox One started giving me issues with loading, installing, and updating games. After much time with customer service, internet research, and trying different things I found out if I disable IPv6 in my R7000 everything Xbox one related works fine. I have tried google and open dns addresses.
Is there anything I can try? I am on the latest Netgewar firmware. I am open to flashing custom firmware if that is what it takes, but if I can reconfigure it to work on the stock firmware then that would be great too.
Does our ISP handle IPv6 support natively?
What Mfr and model # is your ISP modem? Built in router or stand alone modem?
Yes my ISP supports IPv6. My modem is a SB6141, it is a stand alone modem
I would ask the ISP what IPv6 mode and configuration is needed to use on the router. There are a few different modes for IPv6. DHCP, SLAAC, Static and such. You might as MS on what kind of configurations there consoles need as well.
I've been working with Microsoft, they have even started trying things on their end. My ISP told me to set it to "Auto Config" in my settings... Thats all they would tell me.
Kewl, keep us posted on how it goes. Hopefully it's a MS issue.
As of last night everything worked as it should. MS had sent me a message and said they made a few more changes and to give it a go. So fingers crossed, I think they have fixed the issue and it was on their side after all.
Awesome. Good to hear. Enjoy now.
