I'm french and totaly newbee on that stuff. I gave a try on my old R6300 and I succeed put inside DD-WRT. So I understand how to read threads and put a new firmware in a router. ;-)
But, I'm totaly lost on different versions of firmwares.
Could somebody help me finding a stable firmware for my new R8500 ? I would much appreciate avoid to brick it, as I'm affraid to unbrick it in case of issues.
It's very important to me to be able to use OpenVPN and 2.4 and 5Ghz WiFi and no loose speed in ADSL or WIFI.

Thank's for your help. And which file (*.bin) do you use fist ? HAve you done a 30-30-30 reset each time or which reset have you done ?
Erro. I have taken
dd-wrt.K3_R8500.chk
but which *.bin file I have to take after that ?
