file is dd-wrt.K3_R7000P.chk
file is dd-wrt.K3_R7000P.chk
The ".chk" file is for flashing from stock/vendor firmware to custom only. It is an intermediate step. If you already have custom firmware (any variant) installed, use the ".bin" - i.e dd-wrt.v24-K3_AC_ARM_R7000P.bin - file for flashing. If the probem persists, you may have a bad file image which is failing the pre-flash signature check. Hard to say without more information. Best of luck!
yes, that is what I am trying to do. I reverted my router to stock firmware, and then tried uploading the bin file. Downloaaded the chk file from this site, so not sure how it could be bad. Is there a way of checking it before trying to upload it?
thanks for your help!
