Hi,
Brand new to this stuff. Just followed a tutorial and installed the latest chk file, the router revooted, but the dd wrt page did not come up in my browser. I then factory reset it by holding it for 30seconds and then turned it off and on again.
When plugged in the router doesnt appear at all. I tried arp -a and nothing was found . I tried ipconfig and no dhcp was working at all (address was random and no default gateway).
Only thing that seems to be working is the wifi ssid name is dd-wrt. But i dont know the wifi password.
Any help would be appreciate.
Device is an x6 R8000

I have the exact same problem. :(
Instead of Kong builds it's better to use beta DD-WRT firmwares worked fine for me.
Thanks. All is now working perfect!

I have the same problem, and can login wifi with the password under router (default)
But router can not connect to internet, and pc connect to router also not detacting, gonna flash with another one, looks like kong is no good
I have same problem i cant rest my router and i dont know dd-wrt password plz help me
dd-wrt wifi network password is the one printed on the bottom of the router.
For me, to fix ethernet port issue I used a build from ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2018/
I don't think many of you are waiting for the proess' to complete. I've set up 15 R700/R8000 routers for the offices and all work perfectly. The only way I could get the posted issue is if I jumped ahead instead of being patient. Currently at this site I am running the R8000 and I only use Kong version software for any of these.
The password is the one at the bottom of the router, the best firmware to use in any broadcom device is Kong’s, the wan problem prolly has to do with lan mismatch if your modem is giving 192.168.1.1 change it to 192.168.2.1, 192.168.0.1 or 10.0.0.1.
Btw the 30/30/30 doesn’t work on the R8000 if you want a clean nvram, run command: “erase nvram” on the administration tab.
