No any necessity to flash

No any necessity to flash intermediate firmware if you have NG official firmware installed. Just install my build from WebGUI of router.

Voxel.

I followed the steps here to

I followed the steps here to flash my R7800 with the latest version of Voxel firmware (1.0.2.72SF). After going through step 4 it seems like the flash was completed correctly because in the GUI at routerlogin.net it says "Router Firmware Version (Voxel) V1.0.2.72SF" in the upper right corner. I can't however seem to move on from this point to log into DD-WRT. When I try to go to 192.168.1.1 it says the site can't be reached. Does this mean I didn't correctly flash the new firmware? Or is there something else I'm doing wrong?

Everything seems to be working fine for the most part except I am having trouble with my wired connections at times. They seem to drop intermitenetly without warning. The connection always reestablishes itslef quite quickly, but the interuption can cause havoc for certain things like gaming or unsyncing my Phillips Hue lights. Also only one of the ports registers as having a Gigabit connection (i.e. the status lights are amber instead of white) despite having all Cat6 Ethernet cables for everything that's hooked up.

Voxel firmware is not DD-WRT

Voxel firmware is not DD-WRT/LEDE/OpenWRT.
For Voxel/Netgear firmware you can logon at: http://www.routerlogin.net/

So then are the install

So then are the install instructions I linked to still appropriate? I'm concerned something is wrong from my afore mentioned issues with the wired LAN ports

I used the newest vresion

I used the newest vresion posted on this site (1.0.2.72SF). The flashing seemed to go fine in that the router GUI correctly identified the installed firmware. For the most part my WiFI and LAN connections were working great and I was loving the extra range I was getting over my lame ISP provided router.

I have been having one consistent issue though. At first it seemed llike the router was just dropping the Wifi signal intermitently. Like maybe 1-3x a day. Then I realized that when this was happening I was also losing connection on my wired devices. When I saw that I checked the router the next time it happened (it's not in a super accesible area now that everything is thepretically setup) and all the ligts were off except the power indicator. Eventually the activity lights all cycled back on and started flashing as they should be. This indicated to me that for some reason the router had reset itself, but maybe something else is at play.

Has anyone else come across this issue, or have any suggestions of things to try? I reflashed the firmware thinking maybe something had gone wrong the first time but that didn't help the issue. I also double checked that my ISP modem/gaeway is set to pass through mode, thinking that might be causing some interference or something. Still no fix. Now that' I'm foreced to work from home, losing my network connection at random is extremely disadvantageous - Any help would be greatly appreciated!

@Voxel, I have a R7800 and

@Voxel, I have a R7800 and for some reason everytime I flash your latest version or even the previous version my router isn't saving the firmware settings. So I have to input my settings everytime I restart the router. Additionally, Backing up settings DOES NOT restore anything. How do I get my router to save these settings so I don't have to input every single time on reboot?

Revert to stock Firmware? I

Revert to stock Firmware? I am giving my Nighthawk R7800 to my brother and wanted to reset/update the firmware to its stock version. I did some searching and found some usefull information but I feel it is a bit incomplete https://www.snbforums.com/threads/custom-firmware-build-for-r7800-v-1-0-... (The first link it says to access to get the "ddwrt-to-netgear-fw-R7800.bin" is a dead link).

I do have a "R7800-V1.0.2.52.img" saved off in my files which I "believe might be" the stock firmware the router shiped with but I'm a bit weary to simply try and flash back to that as I would imagine there should be some other steps involved as well.

Any help guidance is appricated!

I had this exact same issue

I had this exact same issue after changing from DD-WRT back to stock and then to Voxel FW.  In my case the R7800 was linked behind another router, which was previously used to create another seperate network and provide internet access to the R7800.  When I turned the R7800 into AP mode, all the problems you described started.  DD-WRT has the option to commit WAN port to switch, so I did that.  R7800 was functioning as AP but connected via the WAN port to upstream router.  I assumed the Voxel FW would also be able to use the WAN port as part of the switch, but this doesn't seem to be the case.  All my problems dissapeared when I switch from WAN-LAN connection to lan-lan between the main router and AP.  Maybe the info can help you out.
