can router detect http content type?

Hello,

  I have a question on http content type detection.

Sometimes, we request a webpage with http, but we also can use http to request a stream from Youtube. Therefore, the content type in http is quite different.

Do any of you know whether or not the router has some information on the http contect type? If so, which block in router sournce code should I look into, httpd?

  Any comment/suggstion is highly appreciated.
