Worked out of the box with stock firmware, attached the router to my bebox (BE ISP adsl2 modem/router), and it configured itself and worked fine...
Upgraded to latest beta dd-wrt, and I cant connect to internet... Im sure it probably a clash of network ranges on the 2 routers, but am not sure how I should go about fixing it...
The bebox is set to dhcp server, and its addres is:
192.168.1.254
It is currently setup as a dhcp server
192.168.1.64 - 192.168.1.253 |
Now I know when the netgear boots, it wants to be 192.168.1.1
Im just not sure how to go about resolving it, can someone please help?
Thanks
Ok, so I eventually had some success.. after figuring out Id cocked up a setting on the dsl router, all works, great, but wanted to clarify a few things...
DSL 192.168.1.254
WAN 192.168.1.64 (DHCP FROM DSL ROUTER - I WILL DISBALE DHCP & MAKE STATIC)
NETGEAR 192.168.2.1
Advanced Rotuer settings are set at Gateway (default), Id read somehere that I needed to set a staic route up for the network connected via the WAN, i.e., the dsl router http://teek.info/guides/network/nat-dsl-modem/ but this appears to need not be the case.
I can now have at look at the dd-wrt features, as Ive never had any experience of it before... so happy days, just hope I can do all I wanted!!!
