D6200

How different is the D6200(v2) to the R6200.
As far as I found out the only difference is the modem, right?

I'm just using this as a router, so can I flash the R6200 dd-wrt Firmware or does it differ too much on hardware side?

Will the software only work with the R6200 hardware - or also with the D6200 hardware (the one with the DSL function) ?

I find the standard ROM without a VPN Client quite an issue today.
