to ddwrt or stock for R8500?

I have just purchased an R8500 and I am considering switching the firmware to ddwrt which is what I have done for years and years but I have heard some compaints that some features or disabled or just not working properly on it(like the 2.4 wifi as an example)

Does it have any bugs or would it work well for me to make the switch?

Hopes U will get the newest

Hopes U will get the newest versiong of hardware. Old version of R8500 has BOOT LOOP bug and upgrade firmware couldn't solve this BUG. I guess they update the hardware. The newest version of R8500 seems work great, at least for me now.
