finding pins 15 an 16 on wgr614v8

I am wanting to short pins 15 and 16 on my wgr614v8 but I don't know exactly which pins to short.

here is a picture of a v9 it is identical to mine

Pin shorting is extremely bad advice. There's a significant risk of permanently burning out the electronic components.

Have you checked and diagnosed the router with:

1. A pc and a network cable?

2. A serial console cable? (low voltage TTL levels, in the case of the wgr614).

3. JTAG?

I don't have a jtag though I could make one from spare junk in the closet and print my own board with solder strips of wire and an epoxy coted cardboard cereal box theres plenty of old p1 - p2 boards modems video cards etc in the closet.
I don't even have an ohm meter handy so I am working purely from network cable and pc.

this should have been posted on my last thread
