I own a Netgear 6300 I believe V1 and I succesfully did an upgrade to a Kong Build. It took a couple of days to "MANUP" and take the risk but all went well. Thanks to the precise info on this board it was not as hard as i imagined. Any way figured I start started out with the R6300 initial flash that was listed then go with what i think is the latest build on the top of the list called dd-wrt for R6300 dated 11/03/14. the file i used was
dd-wrt.v24-k3_r6300_28-oct-2014.chk
After Flashing that build i crossed my fingers and everything looks fine.
This is were i get confused...
In the router the information on the top right states i have build
DD-WRT-V24-SP2(07/07/03)kongac
shouldnt it have a date of 11/03/14?
did i update my router in the right steps... Is this the latest build? Should i reflash the file?

Please mention the exact steps that you performed to flash the new firmware.
Also mention the firmware name and revision number (You can check the revision number from "Status" page of the Router web GUI). If possible, please give the download link of the firmware you are using.
You also need to ensure the following:-
1) Reset to factory default settings after flashing a new firmware (At least I follow this).
2) Clear the cache (History) of your web browser.
Please let me know the status.
