Having trouble with DD-WRT on a linksys router

I recently installed DD-WRT v.23 VPN on my Linksys router and I'm having some trouble. I used the router as an AP for quite a while after I upgraded, but last night I set it up as a repeater. I didn't have problems with it until I set it up as a repeater.

While set as an AP, I had WPA personal security on it. I was able to access the router wirelessly with my PC. No problems with it whatsoever. When I set it up as a repeater, that's when I started having problems. I am not able to connect to the router when I have any kind of security set on it. I tried WPA, WPA2 and WEP. I can connect to it when I take the security off of the router. I would really like to be able to set security up on the router and still use it as a repeater. I understand that as a repeater, there is a physical interface and a virtual interface.

Long story short:

Wireless security works when used as an AP.
Wireless security doesn't work when used as a repeater.

Please help!

Thanks in advance!
