kong 22000++ cannot turn radio back on with "wl radio on"

Hi;

My Setup:
Router: Cisco Linksys E1200 V2
Firmware: Kong 22000++ vpn version (DD-WRT v24-sp2 (06/07/14) vpnkong - build 22000M)
The file I used for upgrading:
usb-ftp-samba3-vpn-nv64k-broadcom.bin
(from http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt/K26/r22000++/usb-ftp-samba3-vpn-nv64k-broadc...)

The Problem:
I cannot turn wireless radio back on (after turning it off) via ssh (or the commands section in web gui) using 'wl radio on' command, here is what happens:

root@DD-WRT:~# wl radio
0x0000
root@DD-WRT:~# wl radio off
root@DD-WRT:~# wl radio
0x0005
root@DD-WRT:~# wl radio on
root@DD-WRT:~# wl radio
0x0004

More info & things I've tried:
'wl up' & 'wl restart' don't seem to make any difference. The status in the web gui says that the radio is on, but I cannot see the SSID on my wireless devices.
In this state, the radio turns on and 'wl radio' returns '0x0000' if I do any of the following:
1) Opening the wireless site survey window through web gui (status > wirless > site survey)
2) Reboot
3) Power cycle
4) Disabling & enabling wireless through web gui by using 'wireless network mode' drop down menu (wireless > basic settings > wireless network mode)
After any of these, if I use ssh commands, I get the same problem again.

Surprisingly, if I open the 'wiviz survey' window via web gui (status > wirless > wiviz survey) & keep it open, the radio turns on and the ssh commands work fine, as you see:

root@DD-WRT:~# wl radio
0x0000
root@DD-WRT:~# wl radio off
root@DD-WRT:~# wl radio
0x0001
root@DD-WRT:~# wl radio on
root@DD-WRT:~# wl radio
0x0000

But as soon as I close the wiviz survey, ssh commands run into problems again.

Doing a 30-30-30 reset followed by a power cycle fixes the situation as well (radio turns on & the ssh commands work as expected), but the problem comes back again when I start to configure my router the way I want it (setting up the open vpn, assigning static ip for wan, changing router ip ...)

Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

Hey,

Hey,

I have the very same problem, exactly as described by restless above.

I have an ASUS RT-N16 router, the problem occurs both with the firmwares
DD-WRT v24-sp2 (07/20/12) mega - build 19519
DD-WRT v24-sp2 (06/07/14) kingkong (SVN revision 22000M)

I assume it has something to do with the wireless settings, which are then somehow disabled by wiviz survey.

Does someone now the error codes of wl (0x0005, 0x0004 etc)?

Thanks for caring!

Michael
