Latest Tomato Versions Info

Most of the developers have recently changed the IPv6 handling in Tomato by using the advanced features of dnsmasq.  Thanks to Kevin Darbyshire-Bryant for adding this to Tomato.

If there are any programmers out there than can assist with further developemnt and bugfixing please come and join us at linksysinfo.org!

Thanks!

I just decided to switch to tomato from dd-wrt. However, the just released version is giving some issue to connect to the internet. Do you have the last stable version that you recommend to use? I really like the Access Restriction on tomato. Thanks.

They are all stable, if you use ipv6 just be aware that there may be some things that don't work on your particular ISP yet. Use an RT build.

Thank you very much for your reply. I was using tomato-K26USB-1.28.7503MIPSR2Toastman-RT-Ext on my WNR3500L. The Access Restriction actually blocks web access as set up, unlike DD-WRT. However, after 1 day, the router stop connecting to the WAN altogether. Internal network still seems to work as I can connect to my NAS to view files. I can't even go to 168.192.1.1 to check the setting. I have to do 30-30-30 reset to be able to get back to admin screen to reflash the DD-WRT to run. I din't know what was the problem. I just want that Access Restriction so much to keep my daughter youtube usage in check. I don't know why your firmware version able to block youtube but DD-WRT doesn't. I recalled your firmware has the Blocked Policy which block youtube_2006, but DD-WRT doesn't. I look up youtube_2006 and can't find any info on the policy setting since I want to try to duplicate on DD-WRT. Thanks.

I have no idea why your router should stop connecting to the WAN or router admin pages. I have a customer using the same router that has been up for several months (on UPS).

Have you tried deleting your NVRAM settings and reconfigure manually?

Sorry I can't be of more help.

*** Great Firmware ***

*** Great Firmware ***
I am running Toastman 0503.4 on WNR3500Lv2 as of 2013-12-14.

This firmware boots up fast compared to other tomato firmware.
Can now update firmware from web interface without having to use tftp.
Seems rock solid.
Please update firmware to myOpenRouter.com from time to time.
The 4shared.com site sucks!
(You must login every time and are presented with misleading download prompts)

Thanks
