Need help reverting back to the original NETGEAR firmware

Hi,

I flashed my NETEAR WRND4500v2 router with thisdd-wrt.v24-K26_WNDR4500v2_10-12-2012.chk build and it never works. I am able to hit the homepage and everything but when connecting the WAN cable, there's no internet. I only want to flash it with the original NETGEAR firmware but it doesn't take the .chk file.

I've spent all day trying everything I read from different forums. From doing "erase linux" to resetting 30/30/30, and tftp etc. and nothing works. The damn thing still comes back. The router is not bricked but it just doesn't allow me to flash with anything.

Could anyone please help show me a way to flash this damn thing? I wish I had a NETGEAR bin file but I couldn't find it anywhere, either. This is so frustrating for me. Why would they write a firmware and release it as a .chk file to update but never allows to flash from a .chk file again? This is not a good spirit of "open source" as I understand it. The process should be simple and easy. People try it, some like it, some don't, the ones who don't or need to revert should be allowed to do so easily. They made the process hellish.

Is any error message shown?

Is any error message shown?

Try reseting to factory setting by pressing the hardware reset button for 30 sec. Then clear browser cache and try flashing the new firmware.

there is no error message,

there is no error message, only get me back to DDWRT Build with request to change the password, i thought i will get the interface of orginral Netgear,

Qustion: i see some people telling about unzip or decompress the .chk to make this happen but i didnt get that, by the way i am so happy with the KONC build but i always test going back and forward from ddwrt build and orginral netgear firmware in case of any issues may face on any custom builds,

Thats fine.

Thats fine.

Do not forget to Reset the router after every upgrade from Stock firmware to DDWRT firmware (and vice-versa) as you have done now.

Thanks.
