I just purchased a RangeMax Wireless-N Gigabit Router with USB. Step 3 says to connect to computer. Does this mean that I will need to keep the laptop connected to the router at all times? The purpose of purchase was to use laptop as wireless. Is this Router an outdated one? I want to be able to watch Netflix on TV using this wireless router.

What you would do is connect wired to your computer. Then setup all the wireless functions and anything else you need.
Once done you would connect to the router using the same wireless setup on your computer that you assigned to your router. Then no cable needed afterwards.
