right first of all hiya peeps ok i have a working (ish) DG834Gv5 2 zyxel and a bricked billion (which i can't find) i think i've decided to get a new WRN3500L and play with a custom firmware
i plan to have the DG834G as base to an home WLAN and possibly bridge it to the new WRN3500L possibly via a script am i understanding how stuff works correctly ?
and which firmware, i'm leaning slightly towards tomato but you guys know best and i can always throw a different firmware at it and don't say i'll void the warranty by throwing a custom firmware at it, cos i know or do you recommend anything else ?

I don't see where you would have a problem bridging a 3500L to your DG834Gv5. Depending on how you want to set it up it just may be a few changes in the GUI to get it all working.
Which firmware is always a tough question. They all work great but have some plusses and minuses.
It depends on what features you may want to add to the router too.
What do you plan to connect to the 3500L and what features are you looking for?
well i guess i'm going to network everything thats networkable like 22" TFT TV, NAS obvoiusly to stream movies and stuff to TV, obviously more will be networkable than i realize
now i want to create a WLAN with my DG834G which everything would then be routed over the bridge and have net access after running a custom script
am i understanding and correct ?

well to cut a long story short i returned the DGN3500 now after trying to order a WRN3500L and discovered they may not ship a -100NAS to the UK at the price quoted via MOR.com
p.s. I know the 100NAS is for the north American market, and the only difference between a 100UKS and a 100NAS is the PSU so i'll have to use a shaver adapter
but obviously i would prefer to pay the lower amount as visible after visiting via MOR.com.
how can i do this ?
p.s. i've also played with the URL adding uk here and there but no luck
I've just purchased a US DGN3500 and wanted to flash the WW image to it... every forum mentions here... but I can find nothing on how to do it... could anyone help?
Sorry for the noob question.... I realise this box cant run custom firmware... it would just be nice to run the latest WW.
