Hi!
We're planning to release a new version of PacketProtector Light in April with support for the WGR614L.
Got suggestions for features? Please post them here.
It'll be a patch against OpenWrt that provides a secure web interface and 2 out of the 3 of these-
- Snort-inline
- WPA Enterprise (FreeRADIUS)
- OpenVPN server
Cheers :)
Charlie
This is great! Can't wait to see it when it becomes available. Make sure to post on the community or send me a PM when it's out!

Sounds interesting but your link just goes to the home page here.
D'oh! Link is now fixed. Thanks!
PacketProtector's forte nbrc test
is the ability to use properly prepared USB drives for swap and storage. At present, the ncbtmb test
only routers supported are the Linksys WRTSL54GS and nce test
the Asus WL-500g, in either the Deluxe or Premium models. PacketProtector.org provided me with a loaner Linksys WRTSL54GS on which to do the review. I used both an external USB IDE drive and a USB key flash drive with the router.
As noted on the project's home page, flash drives have a limited life. They ncidq test
typically fail after 10K to 100K write operations. Since a swap space is write-intensive, it makes sense to use an external USB hard drive rather than a flash drive.
