Please help with shared USB drive confusion.

I am using Windows 7 with my WNR3500l.

I have had a 1gb external drive connected to my router, using readyshare.

For whatever reason, I do not see it listed as a disk drive any more when I select Computers in Win 7. It used to be there and I gave it a "N" drive designation.

I believe that I have uploaded a screen print of my Advanced USB Storage screen from my router settings.

It can see it via FTP from the settings.

Can anyone help me so that I can see the attached USB drive again from my Win 7 laptop?

Thanks,

JT

Thanks for a response. Sadly

Thanks for a response. Sadly,to you are the only one who has responded.
I have uploaded my settings, which I hope helps. It has worked for a few years and suddenly stopped. FTP on it works.
Besides my Windows unit, I have two Android tablets where it is the same thing.

I know the external drive works perfectly as a drive and can be seen using the FTP link as shown on my Netgear configuration screen.

Is there a different way to configure it ??

If I haven't misunderstood your words,

  1. You are using same 1gb external drive, and win7 computer with your router.
  2. This setup was working for a few years.
  3. Suddenly, with no change in above setup, things stopped working for you.

If things were in working condition, I didn't found any reason to change the configuration.
I would suggest you to reboot your router and check if scenario changes or not.
