R6700 -> R7000 -> Tomato?

R6700 -> R7000 -> Tomato?

I heard the 6700 nvram could be "modded" to appear as a R7000 and that official R7000 firmwares could be used.

Does anyone know if that holds true for Tomato builds for R7000?  e.g. can they be used too?  From what I've read they are same CPU, etc. only difference is lack of a USB port which I'm not using anyways...

If someone has tried this before it'd be nice to hear the results!
