I just bought the WNR3500Lv2. Installed it this morning. Downloaded Shibby FW
tomato-Netgear-3500Lv2-K26USB-1.28.RT-N5x--083V-VPN.chk
I tried to connect wirelessly but I didn't succeed. Tried modifying the different parameters but to no avail (tried with a netbook, iphone and android phone). Downloaded FW from Netgear. Reflashed. I was able to connect with netbook and phone.
While with Tomato, I tried WPA, WPA2 as well as trying no security at all.
I haven't tried an older version not have I tried with DD-WRT.
Anything I may be doing wrong?

As far as I know Shibby's FW you are using is very stable and haven't seen any wireless related problems in the forum till now. You can make a try with Restoring factory settings.
I think this is the same as what I am trying to do I have a 3500Lv2 running Shibby FW. I am trying to use the router as a wireless client to an iPhone which has a Personal WIFI (Teathered) capability. I read somewhere that they use WPA2 Personal security. I put in the SSID and password, but it will not connect. I am able to connect with Kindle Fire, and Windows 7 laptop, but I cannot get the router client to connect. Anyone have any experience with this?
