Unable to femove dd-wrt

Guys

I have been trying to remove DD-wrt from my netgear 3500 Lv2, using this method - http://www.myopenrouter.com/article/16099/How-To-Reflash-Factory-Firmwar...

I am able to do the erase linux, and after that the green light just keeps blinking. I try the tftp, and file transfer is successful, but nothing happens on my router, green light keeps blinking.

I have to use dd-wrt.v24-14311_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini-WNR3500L.chk to restore my router.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Hi,

I had exactly the same problem. I could solve it using a serial cable, as described here: http://www.myopenrouter.com/article/36609/How-to-Debrick-Your-WNR3500Lv2-Using-Windows-and-a-USB-TTL-Cable

Regards

Mike

The method to reflash factory

The method to reflash factory firmware w/o Serial cable is meant for WNR3500L not for WNR3500Lv2.
First ensure your router model, is it WNR3500L or WNR3500Lv2 ?

Yep, That was my mistake, I

Yep, That was my mistake, I did not check the router make, and found out my router was 3500Lv1 and not v2 as I assumed it to be.
All said & Done, i have flashed it to http://www.myopenrouter.com/download/22510/DD-WRT-Kong-Mod-USB-FTP-SAMBA...

As far as I am concerned I

As far as I am concerned I definitely do have a WNR3500Lv2, and I did indeed fix the problem with the USB cable as described in the link of my previous post.

(@Subhra, I believe the article is really for the v2 router. There is also a note at the top stating that it almost the same as the similar article for the v1 router)

Anyhow, for the record, and others who might experience the same problem: I did fix the problem and successfully put Shibby tomato on the router.

@Mike131: Yes you are

@Mike131: Yes you are absolutely right. http://www.myopenrouter.com/article/36609/How-to-Debrick-Your-WNR3500Lv2... article is meant for WNR3500Lv2 router(Reflashing with a serial cable).

But I was talking about http://www.myopenrouter.com/article/16099/How-To-Reflash-Factory-Firmwar...
This article is meant for WNR3500L only(Reflashing without serial cable).
